Below you will find samples from my first program,
Classical House of Learning Literature: The Modern Age. Grammar Stage
is divided into two groups. Level 1 is for PreK – 1st/2nd and
Level 2 is for 2nd/3rd – 4th (depending on child’s ability). Logic
Stage is for grades 5 - 8 (depending on child's ability). Some of
the Logic content will be most appropriate (difficulty-wise) for an 8th
grade student, but I'm including ideas for adapting it to a younger
student. Students on the cusp between Level 2 and Logic may do best
picking and choosing lessons from both.
Explore the works of authors such as Robert Louis
Stevenson, Louisa May Alcott, H. G. Wells, Frances Hodgson Burnett,
Rudyard Kipling and more! This time period covers major authors and
poets from 1850 C.E. through the present.
